In Memory of our son, Mark Baker
July 31, 1980 – January 5, 1998

Our Story
I have been wanting to have a Memory Tree of Lights here in Michigan for some years now. We haven't been able to achieve this in the past because we haven't had a permanent address. We have moved into our new house and plan to grow old here. One day, I was sitting here reading mail, than glanced outside and realized I was staring at these 2 big, beautiful pine trees in our yard, and knew instantly what their purpose was going to be.

The reason I would like to launch a Memory Tree of Lights is that I just love bringing back some of the joy of our lost loved ones existance into the broken hearted lives of the survivors. I want Mark's memory to live on inside all who knew him. So I try to make it possible for others to recieve the same pleasures from memorials and memorial projects.

I also believe that by bringing such a project into our small community will also open eyes and bring the subject of suicide out into the open. I believe that this could expand awareness, and possibly open doors for more support and education here, as well as throughout the Northern Michigan areas.
